Rides being planned by Ruthin Cycling Club

Sunday Rides – 22nd November

The weather is looking good for Sunday (22nd Nov) so Glyn is hoping we can, after two washed out attempts, run his proposed A & B Group Caerwys rides this weekend.

All rides start and finish at The Centre, Llanfwrog, Ruthin.

Please note that if the weather is poor then a ride will be agreed on the day depending on who turns up and the groups ability.

Sunday Rides (for 8th November)

Afternoon All,

Details of all the weekly rides are included below as well as the route options for Sunday. 

This Sunday the rides are slightly shorter as we intend to stop for a 2 minutes silence for Remembrance Sunday, hopefully by the Memorial Institute in Caerwys. This will be prior to the café stop. 

Please remember that due to low interest in the Social Group rides on the last few Sunday’s we will just be running A & B Group rides on forthcoming Sundays through the winter. The social and beginners rides are running on Wednesday’s and Saturdays, as below, so please point any new or interested riders towards those rides once they have spoken to Charles or Ros.

RIDES

Wednesday – Social Ride – 10am: around the lanes at the pace of the slowest rider finishing back at The Centre for coffee.

Saturday Informal – 9am: ride depends on who turns up, but usually around 2 hours at the pace of the slowest rider.

Saturday Beginner – 10am: new/novice/beginner ride on the local lanes.

Sunday Rides (18th October)

Afternoon,

 It looks like the weather is holding so some rides over to Llangollen are planned for Sunday:

Social group – option to ride out from The Centre at 9am, depending on who turns up, or if you are able to transport your bike to Corwen then you can join us in the Dee Valley with this ride which starts from the Green Lane car park:

Please note that the Social Group ride uses the towpath from the Chain Bridge Hotel access to Llangollen Wharf – the towpath is surfaced and you are allowed to cycle on it, but please use the road into Llangollen if you have super thin tyres!

Sunday Rides (27th September)

Morning all, 

Charles is busy elsewhere on Sunday so has asked me to organise Sunday’s rides.

See below for a 60 miler (A Group) and 48 miler (B Group) that should meet up at the Rhug Farm Shop Café near Corwen half way around.

‘A’ Group

Llandegla-Rhug-Bala-Cerrig 60miler

‘B’ Group

Llandegla-Rhug-Llandderfel-Corwen 48miler 

I’ll lead the longer ride, but if you would like to lead the 48 miler then please get in touch and I can provide further details if required.

SOCIAL GROUP – to be arranged on Sunday morning.

Please arrive in good time for a 9.00am start.
